The temps are rising so it’s Sheep Shearing time at Brooksvale Park. Be at the Friends of Brooksvale Animal Barn by NOON this coming Saturday to see a pro at work. Lady Baba, Bonnie & Nahna will breathe or Baaaaa, a sigh of relief when they’re sporting their new “Do’s”.
Also, on Sunday, May 21 from 11am-2pm don’t forget about our special event Spring on the Farm. Kids and adults can come play, learn about the garden, ask questions, and take home a seedling or two to plant at home. Last year there were tomato and pepper plants offered!
Volunteers are needed in the GARDEN on Thursday mornings from 9-11. Contact Deb (203-605-4621) if you can help 1x a month, 2x or every week. No Experience necessary. Hands on (in the dirt) training will be offered.
CT Trails Day – Saturday, June 3 from 8:30am-Noon. Call and leave a message on the park phone (203-287-2669) if you or your group can join us. Projects for all age levels. Great for those who need community service hours before the end of the school year!
